Dive Weights
What are dive weights?
Dive weights are ballast weights added to equipment and suits in order to counteract excess buoyancy. This is important as divers are required to be slightly negatively buoyant at the end of the dive when most of the gas has been utilised. Individuals also need to maintain neutral buoyancy at safety or obligatory decompression stops and dive weights can help with that.
