Diving BCD stands for Diving Buoyancy Compensation Device.
How does a Diving BCD work?
Diving BCDs help divers to offset their negative buoyancy by introducing air from the tank to the BCD while they are underwater.
Why should divers get a Diving BCD?
Diving BCDs allow divers to maintain negative buoyancy underwater & positive buoyancy on the surface when needed. Furthermore, getting a personal Diving BCD instead of renting one allows divers to easily pick up the skill of Buoyancy Control as it helps not having to familiarise with different types of Diving BCDs everytime. As each Diving BCD is also tailored to a specific type of diving, renting one may not be as ideal as having a personal one as a result.
