Backplate Wing Systems

We carry a wide range of Backplate Wing Systems for both single and double tanks back mount systems that are perfect for any diver. We also offer wings of different lift capacities, and also different types of backplates with unique securing styles too. 

Originating from cave diving, these systems need to be stable, and good enough to complete any tedious dive. It became popular in other forms of diving, as this similar configuration works well for all sorts of back mount diving since.

The ‘original‘ system comes with a rigid backplate, secured by a single continuous webbing with 5 D-Rings, strictly no quick-release buckles, and a crotch strap. A wing as small as possible is then mounted on, as these divers use the Balanced Configuration concept. The wing comes with a single inflator, and a single bladder, and is of a non-bungee, streamlined design.

Many brands have been tweaking the systems to cater to the general crowd to make it easy and fun to use. However, some diving organisations still require the use of the ‘original’ system for their classes. Check with us on such classes, and we can guide you to the right purchase.
